Raritan Showcases New Service Management Products for Simplifying IT Operations at Computex Taipei 2006

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (May 25, 2006) -- Raritan, a leading provider of solutions to simplify IT operations, will be demonstrating its newest IT monitoring and remote access-and-control management appliances at COMPUTEX TAIPEI '06, one of the largest IT tradeshows in Asia, from June 6th to June 10th. Raritan will be showing its new CommandCenter® NOC (CC-NOC) appliance that monitors, notifies and reports on key aspects of an organization’s IT health, as well as provides proactive security features to reduce an organization’s vulnerability to intrusion.

At the Computex Taipei exhibition, Raritan also will be showing how its new monitoring appliances are integrated with Raritan’s out-of-band and in-band remote access solutions. An e-mail alert notification sent from a CC-NOC appliance includes an embedded link, allowing an administrator to see detailed data on the alert and directly connect to the device in distress within a click or two, all from a single interface -- greatly improving the Mean Time To Repair or to Restore Service (MTTR). These solutions are part of Raritan’s new Service Management Architecture, which delivers more powerful management capabilities to midmarket and enterprise companies.

Through CC-NOC’s comprehensive dashboard, accessed through virtually any Internet browser, IT administrators can have access to current information on network and systems performance, hardware and software assets, as well as security vulnerabilities. The multi-function appliance addresses the key IT infrastructure and security management needs of mid-sized IT operations, helping to improve service levels and gain staff efficiencies. At the same time, CC-NOC is less expensive than typical enterprise solutions and is easy to install and operate.

“Raritan is the first company to integrate IT monitoring and management capabilities with instant, remote access to IT equipment through both out-of-band KVM- (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) and serial-over-IP solutions, as well as several popular in-band access tools,” said Chris McPherson, Raritan’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Asia Pacific. “IT organizations can now pinpoint potential problems and fix them more quickly, easily and cost effectively. For example, when CC-NOC sends an alert notification it includes a link to the problem device. The link allows administrators to securely access and facilitate repair of the target equipment from anywhere. This capability is especially useful for our customers that operate CC-NOC in conjunction with Raritan’s centralized access system, CommandCenter Secure Gateway, where the link provides a choice of in-band and out-of-band access to the target device.”
